【感謝祭】

今回は1階ロビーにおいてある「あれ？」と気になる展示物について紹介します。

Every year Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. On this day families meet and eat a delicious meal. Traditional Thanksgiving food is turkey, mash potatoes, and pumpkin pie. Before the meal they give thanks for things like family, health, and the delicious meal.

【感謝祭】は毎年11月の第4木曜日に行われます。この日は、家族がみんな集まっておいしい食事を頂きます。感謝祭の伝統的な食べ物は、七面鳥、マッシュポテト、そしてパンプキンパイです。食事をする前に、人々は家族や健康、素敵なごちそうに感謝の気持ちを述べます。

A symbol of Thanksgiving is the cornucopia. It is shaped like a cow's horn and it filled with delicious food like pumpkin, fruit, and grains. The cornucopia represents a good hervest.

コロヌコピア（豊穣の角；cornucopia）は感謝祭のシンボルです。牛の角のような形をしており、カボチャや果物、穀物などの食べ物でいっぱいに満たされます。コロヌコピアは「豊穣」を表しているのです。
